Half a Year!!

I expect phone calls from GQ any day now. :)

I can't quite believe that my boys are 6 months old! They are becoming quite the little charmers with their grins and laughs.  May was a huge month and the boys changed so much!  They are now rolling over both ways, starting a little scooting action, grabbing and playing with toys, and are just wonderful babies!  I told Jason the other day as we were loading up the boys after doing a little shopping that they are definitely A LOT easier to take care of now.  I look back on those first couple months and am glad we didn't kill each other! :) Parenthood is the hardest, but greatest, adventure we've ever done together!

Will and Jack think their daddy is hilarious!

The boys got helmets this month to correct their flat heads.  A month in the hospital didn't bode well for their little heads, so we knew it was just a matter of time until they had to have the bands.  We are fine with it and the boys seem pretty oblivious to them.  They do sweat a lot with the helmets and have stinky heads, but nightly baths and washing the helmets really helps.  They go for weekly adjustments.  Hopefully they won't have to wear them too much longer.

Not sure what to think about these new caps, mom!

Jack doing a little driving while waiting for his helmet to be adjusted.  I see one of these cars in our future!

We had a Cinco de Mayo baby shower for our friends Patrick and Erica, who are expecting twins! Our group is growing exponentially! Don't drink the water where we hang out!

My friend, Whitney, and me with the boys in their mini sombreros.  These poor kids are going to be dressed in some funny stuff over the years.

Will "Mustache" you a question... do you think I'm cute?

We had a great time shopping with the Zellas at Costco.  We stuck poor Will some girly tutus.  At least we didn't make him wear one!

Hanging out being their typical silly selves. They love playing on their blankets.  We are having to expand the blankets though because they scoot and roll all over the place!

Both boys have packed on the pounds over the last month.  Jack is now a beefy 15 pounds and Will is still about a pound and a half behind at about 13 1/2 lbs.  We are very pleased with their progress and they are actually now charting on the "real" baby scale for six month olds! They are eating a TON of formula.  We are going through a big tub daily! Yikes! We have started them on some solids.  Their favorite is sweet potatoes, but they tolerate squash and green peas too.  It's always fun to feed them, but definitely a messy adventure!

I finally got a picture with the boys' friend, Nolan.  He is the son of our good friends, Allison and Byran.  He's a little older and was ready for the picture.  Jack and Will... not so much!

We love to snuggle with the boys in our bed on the weekend.  I cherish this time with my three boys.  We only have three and half more school days and then some workdays, and then I'll be able to be home with my boys for the summer! Yay!! :)

Jack and Jason snoozing!

Bath time wore William out here! He had a little diaper rash, so I was "airing" him out. It was all good 'til he pooped. Lol.

A little Tug of War.  Love their faces!

We've been spending a lot of time outside now that it's so nice.  We go for nightly walks for about an hour and a half.  This is great for our marriage because we get to talk without all the distractions of technology and chores.  The boys also enjoy sitting in their stroller like big boys and usually catch a nap.  Izzy always joins us too.  She loves her babies so much.  She's very protective of them!

Tie Wednesdays!

Jason and I were able to get away and go to the beach for a couple days with some friends.  My mom and dad watched the boys for us! This was wonderful!! We will be taking the boys for their first trip to the beach in a couple weeks!! Can't wait to capture all their cuteness in some swim trunks!

I hope to write more once I'm out for summer break!  Happy June!
